Around 36.5 per cent of the New York residents, roughly 7 million citizens, are at least 50 years of age. It may come as a surprise, but the number is more than the combined population (of all ages) who live in Nebraska, New Hampshire, and Connecticut.
Studies show that the median age in New York has risen by 2.6% since 2010, almost identical to the national increase of 2.7%.
Given how many seniors choose to age in the comfort of their homes, it is not surprising that home care services in New York are highly regulated. The New York home care agencies need a license & certificate to operate, keep records, maintain officers, and adhere to specific procedures.
Read “Your Guide to Home Care in New York” and get tips to comply with the state laws and regulations and stay on top of any new trends or best practices.
